Reference #396: Thinking in Systems

Delays are not easily changeable — there's little you can do about the growth rate of a forest or the maturation rate of a child. However, you can often slow down the rate of change in a system. Even if you cannot adjust the delay, you can adjust the different between delay and change rate.
