#3a: Disassembling a team considered costly.
If the team is the smallest atomic unit of an organisation, by analogy it follows that disassembling a team is expensive. This is particularly true for high-performing teams.
As most of a team's value comes from its bonds and interactions, shifting people to other areas within an organisation leads to a global loss of productivity. Instead of disrupting team composition to respond to shifting priorities, consider instead shifting team responsibilities (scope).
