When attempting to change your behaviour based on feedback, follow-up is necessary for change. You will need to regularly check with your colleagues to see whether you are improving.

This is in part because your effectiveness and interpersonal skill is judged by others, not yourself. Following up and asking for input regularly are also are seen as signs of a good leader.
