It's important to not only secure early wins but to get the right wins in the right way.

You must energise your team with early wins, your wins must matter to your boss, and you must get those wins the right way.

This means acting in ways consistent with the company values and exemplifying the behaviour you hope to instil.

It also means adjusting your wins for the culture. Whether you focus on individual accomplishment or team success, for example, depends on how the organisation views and values achievement.
