Reference #147: Peopleware

Managers, unlike parents, are unlikely to change their people in any meaningful way.

Employees generally don't stay long enough for meaningful change to occur. Managers also rarely have the leverage to change their employee's nature.

This highlights the importance of finding the right people in the first place.
